Academic Career since September 1991

1991-1996:   In September 1991,  I  moved from the Enrico Fermi Institute in Chicago back to Europe with a five year SERC Advanced Fellowship which I held in the                   Department of Mathematical Sciences , University of Durham,  England.  I never left.

1996-1999:   From September 1996 until August 1997, I was appointed as temporary lecturer and had my first taste of undergraduate teaching in English with Mathematical Physics II.

1997-2000:  In September 1997, I was granted a Leverhulme Fellowship which allowed me to proceed with my research activities for three years .

2000-2004:  From September 2000 til September 2004,  I was a lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Durham, and became  exposed to all aspects of academic life.
2004-2006:
  Promotion to Readership in the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
2006-        :  Promotion to Professorship in the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
