Aspects of Random Walks
Meeting at Durham University sponsored by the EPSRC and the LMS
Held from Monday 31 March till Thursday 3 April 2014
The Thursday 3 April incorporated a
one-day event in memory of Iain MacPhee
About the meeting
The meeting was aimed at researchers (including postgraduate students)
with an interest in random walks and related topics.
The Iain MacPhee memorial event, adjacent to the random walks meeting, was a celebration of Iain's research interests, which, in addition
to random walks, included queueing theory, optimization, and other topics in probability theory and stochastic processes.
Our friend and colleague Iain MacPhee passed away on 13th January 2012. Some information that he wrote about his work can be found here.
Programme outline:
- Monday, 31 March 2014: Meeting commences after lunch.
