We plan to hold a trip after the meeting for interested participants. Currently we hope to visit the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts, a major arts project which is due to open to the public on the day of the trip. The Centre is in Newcastle/Gateshead city centre, and next to the Millenium Bridge or Blinking Eye which recently won the prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) annual award. Our route will also enable us to visit the `Angel of the North', a colossal sculpture by Anthony Gormley.

Transportation will be by coach. It will leave Durham at 14:00 hours and collect us at 19:15, giving time to explore Newcastle. The charge for the coach will be around five pounds.
