Subjects within the Natural Sciences Programme

For details on the structure of the degree, visit either the B.Sc. or the M.Sci. page or the page for Prospective Applicants.

The subjects within the University are divided up into three groups from the point of view of Natural Sciences:

  • Departments within the Faculty of Science: Group 1;
  • Departments without the Faculty of Science which contribute to a Joint Honours degree within Natural Sciences: Group 2;
  • Departments which do not contribute to a Joint Honours degree: Group 3
There is no requirement to select modules from Groups 2 or 3, but if your interests are more deeply seated in these groups we recommend that you should look at our sister programmes Combined Honours in Social Sciences or Liberal Arts.
Click on the subject to see the modules available within that subject and the modules required to be taken to progress to the next level.

Group 1 (subjects from Departments within the Faculty of Science)

Group 2 (subjects which contribute to a Joint Honours degree within Natural Sciences and not from Departments within the Faculty of Science)

Group 3 (subjects which do not contribute to a Joint Honours degree within Natural Sciences)
