Centre for Particle Theory

Student Seminars

The CPT Student Talks are an opportunity for any graduate student within the Centre for Particle Theory to give a short talk or seminar (about 30 minutes). Hopefully this will allow people to practice their presentation skills in an informal environment in front of a friendly audience.

The topic of the talk can be more or less anything with some relevance to CPT students. It should not be too technical or involved, and can either be about own work, a review of an interesting paper, an introduction to subjects other than particle theory, or whatever. It's up to you, really. There is no need to have "new results", and anyone interested in giving a talk is strongly encouraged to do so. Lecturers are not expected to turn up. But the more students, the more fun. Occasionally continued in the pub.

If you wish to give a CPT Student Talk then email Anna or Gina: a.r.lishman@durham.ac.uk, g.l.titchener@durham.ac.uk
