A 3D hybrid finite element-finite difference time domain method for electromagnetic scattering problems

Abstract

In this presentation we show the capability of the hybridization between a FE Taylor-Galerkin type scheme and a finite difference Yee scheme. The unstructured tetrahedral FE mesh gives flexibility and good representation of the geometry definition. The standard Yee scheme allows fast computation and low memory cost.
