Computational methods for wave propagation in direct scattering

Peter Monk (Delaware. USA)

Complete families of solutions in forward and inverse electromagnetic scattering

Abstract

The approximation properties of Bessel functions or plane waves can be used to develop numerical methods for approximating the forward and inverse scattering problem. In particular I shall discuss the least squares and ultra weak methods for the forward problem, and the linear sampling method for the inverse problem.
