Examples of programmes of study within the Natural Sciences programme
There are BSc Joint-Honours programmes available in:
Computer Science and Mathematics;
Computer Science and Physics;
Mathematics and Physics. There is also a
MSci Joint-Honours in Mathematics and Physics and it is possible to continue the other Joint-Honours degrees into MSci level, although they would then be an MSci in Natural Sciences degree. Finally, certain first year module choices fulfil the criteria for a transfer to the relevant single honours Department.
- MSci in Natural Sciences (Computer Science and Physics)
- An all final-year in Physics - BSc in Natural Sciences (Computer Science and Physics)
- Drops Biology at the end of Year 1, majors in Physics and starts Computer Science. - BSc in Natural Sciences (Computer Science and Physics)
- Transfer from the Physics programme at the end of Year 1. - BSc in Natural Sciences (Computer Science, Earth Sciences and Mathematics)
- Follows the Joint-Honours Chemistry and Physics degree, but only continues with Mathematics to take up Computer Science and Earth Sciences. - BSc in Natural Sciences (Computer Science and Mathematics)
- Drops Economics at the end of Year 1, majors in Mathematics and starts Theoretical Computer Science in Year 2. - BSc in Computer Science and Physics
- Joint-Honours student throughout their programme. - BSc in Mathematics and Physics
- Joint-Honours student throughout their programme. - MSci in Mathematics and Physics
- Joint-Honours student throughout their programme with their final-year project in Physics - the project could have been taken in Mathematics.
